Hi I have an AU-Futura wagon and have put the XR6 wheels on, but have been told that the offset is wrong, has any body have and info. thanks len and yes i have lowered 2 inches front and 3 inches rear with the help of a 1 inch lowering block, king springs super lows front and king leaf spring rear,and koni ajustable shocks front and rear. and handles like a sedan.

if they are AU or BA xr6 wheels they have the correct offset.
if they are REPLICA AU or BA xr6 wheels in "e-series offset" then they are incorrect.
if they are EB ED EF EL xr6 wheels they are incorrect.

Genuine AU/BA XR wheels will have correct AU offset.

I saw an AU Falcon sedan the other day with EL 16" Xr wheels (dogtooth style). They were sticking out past the guards big time - full lock would have had them scraping, i think. And the rims really did not suit the AU at all.

Yeah, a lot of people just want rims on their falcons and get cheap pre-AU rims, despite the fact that's a straight defect. It still amazes me that people persist on fiddling with their wheels and tyres on their own, when they don't have ANY industry experience. Needless to say, the screw things up and then bring them to me to fix it up!

low profile tyres are usally* louder. if you changed from standard "economy" 16in to "sport" 17in? tyre they will sound different too.

why exactly are E-series wheels dangerous or a defect on an AU? The reason I ask is that I have some speedy wheels that I would like to put on my dads AU xr6, but I have some idea that they are illegal but I don't know why.

So the AU ones have less frontspacing than the E-series? So you should be able to fit AU to E's and the only difference would be that the track distance would be less (wheels are further in)?

I need to know as with my 67" the E's (225's) are borderline with tyres past guards, so the AU's should fit. (Hypothetically speaking)

By the way, the Ford 114.3 PCD (i think ), where is that measurement taken from?
