Wondering if anyone in Melbourne can suggest a good place to get a set of 15 x 6 steel stockies modified to fit a big set of drag slicks. Was hoping to get them made into 9" or 10" wide wheels.
Not only am I after places to go to, I wouldn't mind knowing who to avoid, the last thing I want is a set of wheels the are more bent than a banana.
I dont know about Melboune, but i know a guy in Geelong who can do it. Its pretty expensive i know that much, i was looking at getting 15" stockies widened to 8" and it was going to cost me upwards of $500... Easier to find some already done.

$500?!?!?! They saw you coming. About 12-18mths ago I was quoted between $70-$120ea. Eastern wheel works is probably where I'll get some 15" stockies widened to 8" as that's plenty for 10.5" wide slicks.

Shows you have no idea. You only have to get 2 wheels done not 4. So $240max. they suugest you run front runners on the front which 6" wide wheels just make it. They prefer 4 or 5" rims on the front.
