Im in the market for new tyres, and have come across a set of Pirelli P600 (or 6000 cant remember which) from Coleman tyre company here in Brisbane for 90 bucks each (near new). Im wanting to know if they will fit on my standard rims (15in EL Fairmont)
I would like to replace the tyres that are on there now with the same again, Bridgestone Turanza (have been the best tyre I have had) but they are waaaay to expensive for me to purchase at the moment.
What is their full size? I'm guessing 235/55/15 or 235/50/15. 235s on a 17 x 8" rim fit on my EF, so as long as they are 8" rims, you should be OK. I think 225 is the widest recommended for a 7" rim.

Yeah, JC's spot on.
I had 225's on the falcon 15's, and on reflection I think they were too wide really (altho it was impossible to scrape the rims with them on, they just bounced off kerbs).
Something that had me stumped is in the latest Performance Ford
Mag there is an XE ESP Ghia and it says it has 265's on the 15 x 7
Snowflake Rims. If this is the case I can't see why they wouldn't fit.
60 series profile should be 225/60/15 - you're sure they are a 235? It's a bloody odd size, and I would have thought they would be more expensive than a 225, not cheaper (only because they are an odd size).
Not to say they wouldn't look good, or fit the rim well either - when I was in the states we had a Lincoln Town Car (Fairmont Ghia equivalent) and I think it ran 225/70/15s - the yanks love big bouncy things - and cars that do that too! No doubt some Lunatic will correct me if I'm wrong, aye John!?
