XA Brakes

Hey People, just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the brakes on my xa van, it currently has drums all round, and i want to change to discs. I found a complete pair of front rotors etc from my old xw, and was wondering if this change is possible? (I have a xa brake booster and master cylinder on stand by ready to go.)
Thanks in advance

Re: XA Brakes

Pete, provided you have the discs, stub axles and calipers, they should go fine with your XA master cylinder.....provided the XA master is made for disc brakes (the drum brake ones have a valve in them that keps a bit of pressure in the line at all times apparently). What I would do is hunt down later brake assembly from an XF - very cheap, easy to get spares for - much better - and you get the larger hubs too.

btw - I bought that old red ZD Fairlane shell from ya years ago - the doors and a few other bits went into my ute (still not on the road - time and money - old story) and the shell went to a guy who had his Fairlane crunched.
