Is it true that even the lowest king springs lowering springs only drop it just above the rims (standard 15" rims)? My car is a 1987 XF Sedan.
I am getting a lowering kit next week, including shockers, but the thing is I dont want to go super low (the guard rubbing on the wheel) I was looking at getting it to just sit above the rim, so it has just the slightest gap between the wheel, which spring would do that?
they are in this order arent they?: Standard Low (standard, but sports suspension) Low, Super Low, Ultra Low?
would It be better to get my springs compressed to the size I want?
My car is fitted with superlows and the guard sits just above the tyre, but I have seen others that have the tyres under the guards by a touch. There is a little discrepency in the manufacture of the springs I beleive. It could just be to do with the profile of tyres that are used.

My XF needs lowering too. I'm not sure superlows are gonna be enough but I can't find any others that do anything better. Also it seems you have to fit shorter throw shocks as well. I've been quoted at NZ$850 for all this installed.
Has anyone got a picture of an XF with superlows? can ea springs fit an XF?
$850 sounds alright for the install. What shockers are they supplying? Monroe GT gas?
Short body shocks are a MUST! otherwise they will bottom out inside themselves.
This is my car....

Yeah I used kings superlows, but I had the opportunity to get koni shocks for a good price, so I did.
Wheels are ROH 16x8, wearing 225/50/r16 tyres.

It would look even lower if you painted the bottom sill white. Looks like I'll be going the $850 King SL's and shorter shockers... don't know what sort yet.
ive been hooked up ;-) I am getting king springs super low, plus shorter shockers, Gabriel shockers, made in the USA, they any good?
apparently you can't get monroes for super low king springs or some shit? you cant get the monroe short shockers, u can only get the ones for stock suspension on an XF.
I've priced up some superlows and they'll apparently drop my XF 50-60mm. But for a few hundred more I can get some custom springs manufactured to drop it as much as I want..3-4" and I'll get new shortened monroes all round.
