Whats the widest tyre and Wheel combo 14 or 15 inch i can fit under the stock rear arches of my XF to make it look tougher without pumping and flaring.

It currently has 14 inch wheels with 215's all round. it will be lowered eventually.

you should be able to go 265/50. i had 255/50 on 16"x 8" simmons with no probs.

Depends, if you are running drum brakes on the back, you can go to 285's. A friend of mine had 295's and they just rubbed on the guard when turning.

Really wide is great but you have to consider how much strain they put on the bearings. I'd probably go 245 or 265 max.

A mate had 275/50/15's on 8 inch wheels and they fitted without rubbing after lipping the guards.

At one stage I was running 8" wide rims on the rear with 265s, & 7" wide rims on the front with 245's, on traditional 5 spoke dragways.
The xf had 4 wheel discs. Only real hassle I had was car chewed a stack of idler arms, though this is apparently fairly common with xf's anyway.
