Hello and good day:

I believe you have whats called "Open Circuit"...These Courtesy lights were exactly are the located??

You may have the Back Lift Gate Door, or one of the Side Doors Not closing all the way...causing the Circuit to stay open and draining the battery.

How old is this Battery??

Good luck and Good Repairing,

Are you talking about the rear courtesy/reading lights?

Hello Jwko:

I think he is talking about the two lights located in the far back,,,on the Floor near the Lift Gate...on each side of the trim.

T-Bird Wrote me back on this one...and I have just not had the time to review his P/M...

I will get back to "Earthmover" in a few...Sorry Forgive me for not responding sooner...

Re: 01 windstar discharge

If that's the case, it's probably the contacts in the latch assembly. Spray some WD40 into the mechanism, open and close a few times.

Re: 01 windstar discharge

Well the problem could have been related to the problem i am having with the door ajar problem! The car thinks one of the doors are open so the lights stay on! what you have to do is locate that scroll thing next to the steering wheel, (to the left), and roll it down, until the lights turn off. Without the lights the cars battery shouldn't drain
