I have the 3.9L Its been running rough and was registering the Blinking (engine)indicator on the instrument Dash display- Manual said engine is mis-fire. I removed the Wiper blade shrouds and replaced the wires and plugs, I did notice that the #4 plug was damp. After reinstall preformance seemed better but still mis-fire. I pulled several wires(# 5 than #6) and installed a plug to test for spark to ground and had ark to ground. When I test the #4 wire and I get no ark when testing to ground. In trying to figure what I need to do next, I dont know what I need to do Or what I need to Check. New wires, new plugs I have no info. as to what would be next since its not like the good old days. Its got like DIS ignition systems and cant find info.

Damp as with oil or antifreeze? If oil, then suspect bad rings, if antifreeze, then suspect head gasket. Check your antifreeze reservior for any signs of oil contaimination. If so, then head gasket is bad. How many miles do you have on the engine?

It's damp from gas. Not sure how the coil packs are on these vans, but sounds like that could be it. Can someone confirm what the coil pack/ignition setup is for this van?
