1996 Windstar CD player trouble
I don't know if I shoud be posting this here or some electronics repair website but here it goes...
The CD player will ALWAYS successfully accept a new disc (whether it's a burned disc or one bought from the store) and will play without skipping, it'll go forwards, backwards, etc... you wouldn't expect there to a problem.... that is until you press "EJECT". It makes a clicking sound and eventually gives up. Once in awhile though, it will eject without a problem. (but that is rare) If I stick another CD in there and wiggle it around while the CD player is attempting to eject, the CD will be ejected. Any ideas as to what is wrong and how to go about fixing this? Thanks.

Just some quick info that some of you fine gentlemen might appreciate...
1996 Ford Windstar GL (3.8L)
165,000 miles
Repairs to Date: 1 "o2 sensor"
1 alternator.
I find myself to be one of the luckiest Windstar owners ever. No blown headgaskets, no transmission replacements, no gear changing problems, NOTHING even REMOTELY major! And I have been hard on this bad boy too! Bought it brand new back in late 95' as well. :)
