Ok I just spent about 2 hrs going thru abou 600 -700 post none seem to have the problem I Have. So here it goes.

I have a 2000 Windstar SEL power locks and power sliding doors. The problem is the Driver side rear passenger sliding door locks and won't open, period. The key fob or the any of door switches won't unlock it. When I attempt to pull the lock up it won't come up, like it's stuck. When I try to unlock it I can feel the lock move, but won't unlock. 30 days ago I had the actuator replaced at a cost of $300.00, and now it's in the lock position again. All the other doors unlock and lock when the door switch and /or key fob used. I have even tried the buttons to open the power door on the side post and control panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Van runs good and hasn't really given me any problems with 98,000 miles

Could be nothing more than binding of the linkage. Verify the actuators are getting power, if they are and sound like they're trying to move, you'll need to pull the door panels and use lithium grease (they have it in spray) and lubricate all your moving parts. Haven't dealt with the minivans, but for while, Fords full sized had a minor issue with the guides shifting with age and causing the doors to bind in their tracks. Most likely suspect (I would guess) would be the latch to the striker. Check to see if the striker has shifted or worn and verify that the latch springs freely.

I'd also talk to the place that did the work. It should still be under some type of warranty.
