Have a problem with my 2001 windstar got in it one day and it would not come out of park when started the cluster is all messed up gass gauge is at e and no break light no turn signals in the back or on the merrors no lights come on inside tryed changing the back rem still no luck any ideas about ready to take it out and shoot it!!

If the brake lights don't work, you won't be able to take it out of park. If you turn the key to run, then back toward off one notch, you'll be able to put it in neutral and start it, Then you can use the gears except for park or it will stay in park. Be cautious driving though because the brake lights aren't working. Check fuse #11 inside and the brake light switch and see if there's power to the light green/red wire on the brake light switch and red/light green with pedal pushed. Post back what you find.

Hey Bert thanks for the info on what to check found out there is alot of the fuese have no power 1,2,5,7,8,9,11,12,13,16,19,22,25,26 I checked the ones under the hood and all the small flat ones have power now I'm more confused than before. thanks for any and all help

Did you check for power with the key on? You can also try switching the relays in the inside panel. These systems are pretty complicated.

Yes I had the van running when I checked them I'll try to move the relays and see were that gets me

Ok bert moved all the relays even the ones under the hood that i could and still nothing. If you have and more Ideas please let me know!!!

How about the fuses under the hood? Which ones don't have power with the key on?

all of the small flat ones have power to them and all the bigger square ones look good.

Tell us what doesn't work on the van. You only mentioned a few things and the fuses that you said have no power run a lot of other things. Radio etc.
