We have a 2001 Windstar that on occasion will crank and crank but won't start. Twic have killed the battery cranking, then put jumper cables on a few minutes later and it fires off. Still not right off but eventually will start. Only started doing this since the temperature has dropped below 0.

Any thoughts?

Have you checked to see if it's missing spark or fuel when it has the problem?
