Hello all:
you guys remember me asking a few question about my neighbors 2001 Windstar???

Well here is the deal (and I need some help or Medication):
There was a Recall on the Vehicle speed Control Recall # 09s09 NHTSA #09v39900 Well the Ford Dealership Said that that had been done (according to their records)...I say it was not...wasn't there suppose to be Jumper harness attached to this switch according to the recall??? If this had been done what would still be causing the Cruise Control not to work???

Can anyone provide a Photo, or Pic's of what this repair may look like before, and after???


The speed Control Module?
I have checked every Fuse inside, and out...all look good...

This does not work...

Would the servo be bad...and if so how would I check this??

Stop by an Autozone and see if they can pull any codes. There may be one that will help. Does the horn work? Have you checked fuse 10? Also check the brake pressure switch. It's on the master cylinder. There should be a light blue/red and red/black that are connected together when the brake is not applied. When the pedal is pressed, they are disconnected.

Thank You Bert...I will Check the OBDII Codes see if we get anything...Yes #10 fuses is ok...Horn works fine...Will check the Brake Pressure switch again...the connector appears fine...but according to the Recall there is supposed to be a additional wiring harness to that switch if the recall has been done...and I don't see one..

Well I checked the Codes...Nothing...Checked every fuses, and relays...Nothing...Picked up a new Brake pressure valve, and connector. And a Speed Control Servo module off a 2003 Windstar ... Hope this solves the problem...

Hey Guys:

Just a small update...installed the new Brake Pressure Valve (under the Master Cylinder) Replaced the Jumper Harrness that Ford put on...and guess what??

Wham..Bham...thank you Ma'am...it works....Sheeezzzz....
