Hi have searched the internet and can't find a diagram.
I have tried putting it on but come up about 1/2 inch too short to get over last pulley. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jethroww

Hi I forgot to mention its a 3.8 engine. Jwko my 3.8 is different from the one you posted. I have a pulley (power steering/AC ?) above the belt tensioner. I have 7 pulleys in all.

Thanks for the help. Bert that is the way I tried with to put the Goodyear Gatorback 4060960 6pk2440 on and it was just short. I have put he old one back on that way with no problems. Since my last post I found this diagram. Would it work? Would there be enough belt contact with the crank #3 or should I try and force it like in your diagram where it wraps around the crank #7. That belt you have should work. I put one on a 2002 and that's the belt I used. I had to put it on a larger pulley last. I can't remember which but it works. I only use Goodyear or OEM belts or you can get noises and they don't last as long. The Gates or Dayco are just a tad longer but I would'nt use them. As for the routing you posted, There wouldn't be enough contact. My diagram is from the Ford manual.
