Question 2003 Windstar Fuel Filter

I want to replace the fuel filter on our 2003 Windstar.
I purchased a new filter - Motorcraft.

I notice the fuel lines do not appear to use the clip like some other Fords. It looks like one just pushes the buttons on either side in and this will release it the fuel line.

Does this sound correct?

The new filter did not come with clips so it would seem that this is the method.

Re: 2003 Windstar Fuel Filter

Thats right, you just press the clips. Many times dirt gets behind the buttons and it's hard to push them far enough. A shot of air or carb cleaner usually does the trick.
