So, I've had a problem with the right rear turn signal not working intermittently and I always figured there was a short somewhere in the wiring. I just went through all of the wiring last night and found no shorts and determined that there's a problem with the SJB, so rather than replace that I just rigged up a solution using a couple relays and tapping into the third brake light and the front right turn signal. The right rear turn signal now works, but the right side blinks rapidly when I use my right turn signal as if there is a burnt out bulb, and this is because I'm not using the factory wiring so the flasher isn't seeing the expected load. I'm wondering where the flasher is located and whether or not it's possible to modify it. I'm also wondering if it would make the flasher blink regularly if I simply spliced another light bulb in line with the front right turn signal so that the flasher would see the expected load. I'd greatly appreciate any advice on this.

My wife and I just had the same issue on the left side. It's your Brake Control Module. Ours died with 71 miles left on the warranty. Ford told me that not fixing it could result in a malfunction of the entire electrical system due to the rapid flash issue. I didn't care because it was under warranty.
