What other tranny can I run with this motor. Help please, I have looked every where I can think of.

Your only option is to convert to a manual. (GOOD LUCK)

I was hopeing something else would work. Every A4LD I have had, has had trouble and I just don't like that tranny. I was hopeing for another auto to replace it with. I am useing the 3.0L in a 31A coupe I'm building for my daughter. If you can think of anytng I can do let me know.

One thing that I have learned is that using type"F" fluid in higher milage A4LD"s will improve shift quality. It has a heavier base thus raising line pressure. I don't like the "Mercon" based fluid's with the exception of the new " Mercon5" that would help you also. The earlier "Mercon" fluid's had a low boiling point which made them foam up creating hot spot's.
I require buyer's of my transmission's to use type "F" only regardless of the manufacturer.
