Turn the engine over by hand or with quick bumps of the key till you get #1 piston at TDC on compression stroke. Pull the dist. cap and see if the rotor is pointing to #1 wire on the cap. If so the timing chain has not jumped and should be ok.
Are you sure you have good spark to all cylinders? If the plugs are that wet, you need to change them or let them dry out or it will probably never start.
