Hey Guys I am new to this thread.Can you please help.My 1992 Aerostar won't start.My wife drove it home the other day and it stalled twice.It started and ran long enough to make it home each time.The next day I tried to start it and no luck.I have changed the fuel filter,cap and rotor (badly corroded),spark plugs and wires.So I have spark at the plugs and fuel becuase the plugs are wet.I am starting to suspect the timing chain (120,000 miles). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you foryour time.JEDS67
Turn the engine over by hand or with quick bumps of the key till you get #1 piston at TDC on compression stroke. Pull the dist. cap and see if the rotor is pointing to #1 wire on the cap. If so the timing chain has not jumped and should be ok.
Are you sure you have good spark to all cylinders? If the plugs are that wet, you need to change them or let them dry out or it will probably never start.
