Hi, I have a 93 aerostar. I'm having a problem with the steering. Not a loss of steering but a pulsation and a "clunk" that I can feel when turning the wheel. Power steering is full and no leaks coming from anywhere. Tie rods and ball joints are good. I had someone else turn the wheel as I felt under for the source of the clunk. I felt the noise was prominent at the steering rack. Could this be my problem? Anyone who can help feel free. Thank You.

It very well could be the rack. Does it do it with the front wheels off the ground? If possible, block it good and get under it to pinpoint hwere it's coming from for sure. If you here it mainly in the rack, you'll have to replace it. It could also be the shaft going into the rack. Check both carefully.

Do You Hear this more when you turn a corner? Or a contiguous cluck when driving straight?

It may be one of the CV joints (inner or outer)!
