Question 95 windstar window/door lock problem

Ok, I have a 1995 Ford Windstar that I am trying to keep alive because I really like it. Over the last two years it has needed a new trans and engine. Now the power door locks and power windows are not functioning with either the drivers or passengers side controls. When the door lock button is depressed you can hear a clicking sound, but nothing happens. When you use the door lock button inside the rear lift door, the locks work perfectly. Any ideas???? Thanks

Re: 95 windstar window/door lock problem

I had a similar problem with my 2000 Windstar. i would trigger the doors to unlock and they wouldn't, but it sounded like they moved again after trying to go up. I took off the panel found the lock linkage and greased them up. I haven't had a problem since. This problem only occurred with the sliding doors.
