My windstar won't pass smog. It has 86K miles and I just had a major service done to it. I asked around with techs and I get similar yet different answers. Apparently all points to the sensors. I was advised one of the sensors is not working properly. It has 4 sensors but that I should not worry about the ones on the catalyc converter. The ones that I should worry about: one is in the front of the engine and the other top rear of engine. The truth is I don't even know what they look like. I got a repair manual and I found it useless. I'm sure my incompetence doesn't help either. If anyone can share their experience and knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
More on the smog issue. I found out that I have to replace the catalyc converter. I live in southern California, more specifically in Brea, CA 92821. Can anyone recommend a place to find an inexpensive catalyc converter for this vehicle, thanks.
