We just got our first windstar, didnt see that the ac compressor was not plugged in when we purchased it...I plugged it back in and it made this piercing noise, and the van was running really rough, turned the engine off and unplugged the darn thing then restarted it, it ran a little rough at first then everything went back to normal. Is it the ac cluch? any other ideas?

There is a reason it was unplugged. I would replace the entire compressor with a reman or used part.
