Hi, I have a broken switch in the sliding side door in my 1998 Windstar. It is the 4 pin switch that closes against the strike plate in the body of the van. This switch looks like it is riveted into the side door. Is this switch available, and what do I have to do to remove the old one and install the new one? This happened after I had a problem with the interior light staying on. I narrowed it down to the sliding door switch. I tried jumping out the wire to keep it off all the time. A few weeks later the top and bottom switches in the 4 switch unit stopped springing out and the power door lock fuse blew. I'm thinking that the only solution is to replace that switch but it seems to me riveted in as I mentioned at the beginning. Thanks.

Drill out the rivets, replace switch, install new rivets.

Thanks. I'll go to my local Ford dealer and get that switch.
