Hi all, new to the forum so I hope this is the right spot......Here goes. I have a 2004 Ford Freestar and recently the a/c controller isn't cooperating with my commands. I have cold air, but it's blowing on my feet no matter where I set the controller. An older vehicle I could probably have fixed , but can I get under the dash and fix my problem? The "door" that directs the air to the desired location isn't doing it's job. Is it possible that a fuse is utilized for the door? Any help for yet another old newb. Thanks in advance, bill

Hi, Windstars had the same problem and it was an electronic actuator that was bad. They usually make a clicking noise as they try to work, but can't move the blend doors. They are not easy to get to, but it can be done.

Thanks for the encouragement! I jumped in the van today and it was working, so I guess I'll get ready for failure soon. I'm already looking into a repair manual to help with the new install.
Anyone know much about repair manuals on cd? I'm checking it out on this site:
