Question Confused.....

My parents own a 2000 Windstar, and the check engine light went on. WE had it checked out, and the code says " Lean condition on both banks of fuel injectores".We have done the basic fuel pressure tests, and everything seems to be ok. I am just wondering if anyoen has any info about this before we go spending a lot of money on parts, that we don't even know are going to work. Any information would be great, cause we have no idea what this could possibly mean.
