This is an Aerostart 1995 4.0L (extended).
Trying to change the Fuel filter. According to Chilton, the procedure involves releaving fuel preasure by discinnecting the Inertia Switch on the right side of the trans hump, opne the fuel cap and let the run run for about 15 to 30 seconds until it stops.
I removed the trans cover below the radio and located a white connector. I disconnected it, ran the engine, but it did not stop after a few minutes, so that muist not be the inertia switch.
Does any one know where this inertia switch really is or any laternative to relieve the fuel line preasure to be able to change the fuel filter?

hi I have a 1992 Aerostar and the Inertia Switch was under pasenger side kick pannel. switch is black with a red button. you can just aberly see it behind kick pannel near top under dash.
