I have a Ford Windstar with the following VIN: 2FMZA5140YBA52446

The problem i am facing is while my car is moving at 120kph, O/D off sign starts to blink. I got a computer check up of the car and got to know that it has a code P0741. This code relates to TCC failure. Following procedures have already been completed to no advantage:

1. Valve body changed
2. TCC solenoid changed
3. Gear Overhaul
4. Harness connector of transmission
5. Torque Converter Clutch

It would be great if anyone on the forum helps me figuring out the reason for this problem.

Hello;

Have you had that code Reset since you made these repairs?

PO471 is a genareic code, It should have another code as well, ask the tranny shop if they have another way to read the codes there should be a code that starts with P1 rather then PO - the P1 codes are factory codes and give more information. Tell them to try and enter the vin number rather then just OBD 11 into their scanner. I will go by my shop tonight and pull up your code and see what it tells me might be the problem. A torque converter code won't stop you from driveing it, It just won't lock the converter and more then likely it will fall back into a perprogramed operating stradige - poor fuel mileage. I will get back to you when I see what my data base tells me about that code

They tried clearing the code multiple times but the process fails. The scan tool being used is IDS and it only shows codes in P0 format. None of them are in P1 format. Please update me once you get a chance to look into your database.
