Hi -

I have had the dealer replace rotors at 10k, 25k and 36k - free of charge. What are some alternate parts out there, as the Motocraft/OEM suck? I don't want to drop $100 per rotor either, any thoughts?

Personally, I'd say adjust how you drive...My Freestar has 33,000 original and we just changed the pads...never had an issue with the rotors....

The first 2 rotor changes 10k and 25k were done within the first year of ownership - all hwy miles. I find it hard to believe it's the way my wife drives, esp if others have had similar issues. Again, others that have used 'improved' parts?

All I'm saying is it's something....We got 33,000 mixed used miles city and hwy, and finally the pads were changed....rotors didn't need a thing...

I'm not saying you don't have a defect somewhere, but I've never heard of widespread brake issues....So, when it's a wear issue like that, with no widespread issue, maybe looking in the mirror is where we can find the problem....
