Hello!

I recently purchased a 1983 Ford Club Wagon 350 in good working condition, although the interior is very beatup. The first thing it needs is a cigarette lighter for power. It has hole for it in the dash but it has a little plastic cover on it. I removed the dash and don't see any free wires. Where do I begin? I purchased a replacement lighter and am not sure what to do next.

If no wires exist, you're best bet is to find an unused fuse and use that fuse to power the lighter. You'll have to wire it yourself of course, which can be a pain to get it past the firewall and inside the vehicle. Perhaps a previous owner may have rerouted the wires to power something else.
