I have a 1998 Ford E350 15 passenger van. 5.4 with the 4x4 conversion. My only problem is that my interior lights have a mind of there own. Sometimes when you shut the door after getting inside or just pulling on the handle of the door from the outside, the light stays on for a few minutes. Also does it on its own during the day and night without touching it at all. I have 2 batteries and after a while of that, kills them and those lights get hot. I changed the switch with the dimmer with a new one and played with the door pins and they seem fine. Not sure if this happed to any body else but any help would be great. Thank you.

Get a good penetrating oil like PB Blaster and lube the piss out of the door latches. Repeatedly slam the doors and you might get lucky. Those crappy switches below the latch are always going bad.

Interesting, I am having a similar problem with my 2000 windstar. The interior lights will go on and off when I am driving for no apparent reason. Sometimes they stay on so I turn off the interior lights.
