new to windstar, imaginary bowling ball?
ok, ive been a loyal aerostar owner for years, and I recently got into a 95 windstar, for an unbeatable deal.
it has two mystery noises....
one sounds like a rubber to metal squeak in the front end under the fenders when the steering wheel is turned at a dead stop, or pulling into parking places etc. it will also squeak when going over speed bumps.
the second noise can only be described as an invisible bowling ball that rolls around in the rear cargo area. when i turn and the body rolls to one side or the other, a loud "clunk" or "thud" can be heard, and felt in the rear-most floor board, dead center of the back bench. it sounds like the ball rolls to one side and hits the wall, and when i turn right it rolls back and slams into the other wall. it will not make the noise if i make repeated truns in one direction. only when the body rolls back in the oposite direction does it "clunk".
my aerostar is so loud and trucky i probably wouldnt even hear these noises, but the windstar is soooo incredibly quiet, i am concerned with these weird sounds.
