Exclamation Newbie 1992 Aerostar error code in display

Hi
I have a 1992 Areostar with "error code 3" displayed in odometer
What does this mean?

Can anyone suggest a code reader of this vans computer?
Where can I get a full drawing of the wiring diagram?
I think there are more problems with this van then just what is mentioned?

Re: Newbie 1992 Aerostar error code in display

No code reader is required. If you ground the STI (It is the single-wire connector next to the STO connector) with the key on engine not started, the check engine light will start flashing 2 digit codes. Count the flashes (there is a 2 sec pause between digits) Code 11 is a pass (no problems) That will get you started in the right direction. I am on my 4th Aerostar and I do all my own repairs. The first clocked 570,000 Km before I retired it for serious rust. Have fun.
