Passenger side CV joint Question

First time poster here but not new to auto forums. My wife has an 06 freestar that needs the passenger side cv joint replaced. Iv already narrowed this down as my issue but need to know how much transmission fluid is going to leak out when I remove the cv joint (if any..I'm pretty sure it does though) so I don't short myself when I pick some up. Thanks fellas.

Re: Passenger side CV joint Question

Usually not much. Les than a quart. If you jack up only that side may not lose any

Re: Passenger side CV joint Question

Thanks for the quick reply. Ill make sure I just jack up the one side this transmission fluid tends to be fairly pricey.
