Remove Radiator 2005 Freestar?

I have to replace my cooling fans on my 05 Freestar. That means I have to pull the radiator. How do I get it out? Do I have to pull the A/C condencer also? HELP!

You should be able to remove the fans without removing the radiator. | Repair Guides | Engine Fan | Electric Engine Fan | AutoZone.com

First may I suggest that you buy a Haynes, or Chiltons manul from one of you local Autozone, or Advance Auto...

Check Bert's advice on our forum here: How to remove Freestar cooling fan...

Cooling Fan

Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Remove the radiator.
Remove the 2 cooling fan shroud-to-radiator bolts.

To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.) .

Remove the cooling fan and shroud assembly.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Install the radiator.

Re: Remove Radiator 2005 Freestar?

The original manual there said the radiator had to be removed. The new manual they eviodently posted there since, says you don't. I don't have the manual, I just read what was on the Autozone site. Maybe getting a manual like Sterling_Six said is the best way to be sure.
