Seatbelts

What can i do to tighten the seatbelts in my 1993 Aerostar van so they hold car seats more safely ? Hopefully there is an inexpensive solution. However, I need to keep my granddaughter's safe. any help would be appreciated.

Bev,

Welcome to the site. I have moved this to the proper location. The location that you posted in is for Support of the site and issues related to the site not to any particular vehicle.

Re: Seatbelts

I'm not sure what you mean by "tighten" but the seat belt will lock in place when you hit the brakes during a sudden stop.

Re: Seatbelts

i think i know what you mean beverly.
the shoulder belts tend to stay free until a sudden jolt and cant be used to secure a child seat.
you need to place the seat in the back where you can use a lap belt but i am unsure whether there is even a lap belt on the rear seats.
maybe someone else is more familiar with you model.

i would rather push my Ford than drive your Chevy !
