windstar knocking
hi i have a 2001 windstar around thanksgiving i was taking my daughter home when the engine started knocking i stopped at a gas station checked oil it was low got some put in and by the time i got home it was really bad.the next day i pulled the oil pan and and found a spun bearing on last connecting rod in front of engine closest to tranny (not sure of piston order)what would have caused this,i normally dont drive this my wife did. there were no check engine or low oil lights on and we always had the oil changed at shops
