My 2001 ford windstar is having issues with the wipers...in the timed/intermittent mode they go on, wipe the windshield and stop in the wrong place...so I turn them on, they start and then stop half-way across the windshield. When you shut them off they stop in the wrong place..requiring you to play this game of shutting them down at the proper time so that they stop in the right place (wipers at bottom of windshield). They work in normal mode, the rear wiper works and other functions of the muli-function swith work. I took it to the dealer and they said it needed a multi-function switch...so, I bought one on ebay (used), installed it and nothing..same issue. So, I bought a NEW one, installed it and again the same thing. In both cases I disconnected the battery. Is there something else that controls the wipers, some computer chip, etc? Do I need to reset something??...HELP ME...It's drinving me CrAzY and to drink

i've been told that there is a circuit board in the wiper motor that controls where the wipers stop...can anyone confirm?
