confused 01 f250 stearing problems

hi thare i am new to the forum and i have some problems with my 10 ford f250
  1. when i go down the road i the truck wont go staigth i would always pull to the rigth and took it the alignment shop and they said that the trucks alignment was in specs and needed no adjustments but still pulls to the rigth i also had them roted the tires and to have them balance and still the same this so what could it be?????

Raise the front and start the engine. See if the wheels turn. It may be in the steering gear.

Also forgot to mention that it has some free play in the stering i have checked the steering box and it is not loose at all so what could it be

done the sae thing two time and still the same check all the stearing comeponents and they all look to be ok

Jack up the front end and check ALL your steering componets. Might be that the sway bar might be bent or tie rods could be bad. Next check your kingpins.

01 f-250 doesn't have king pins it has upper and lower ball joints. jack the front end up and see if you can spin the wheels chances are you have a bad brake hose on the right side trapping fluid pressure in the caliper and causing the pull. the slack you feel in the steering is more than likely a bad pitman arm or idler arm, not usually the gear itself. or it could be a ball joint binding under a load. did they give you a printout of the alignment readings?
