02-06 engine swap?
I have a 2002 F150 Flareside 4x4. Recently found a dead cylinder after a plug electrode burnt off (suspect it got stuck in a valve) Anyway I can get a engine out of and 06 F150 for a great price--anyone know if this is a diect swap?--both engines are 4.6 ltr's and the W series
I am wondering if an 06 engine will replace my 02 engine without a lot of work, both engines are 4.6ltr W code. I currently have a 2002 Flareside 4x4 with nearly 300,000 on it. One cyl is only reading 25 psi for compression so suspect I may have a valve problem as one of the plugs is missing the electrode(probably lodged on a valve seat) Head gaskets being $150 each I would rather swap the engine as I got a good deal on the 06 engine if I want it
