03 f-250 #17 fuse keeps blowing

i have no running lights,fog lights,or dash cluster lights,as soon as i put a new fuse in and turn my light switch the fuse blows. can anyone help?

Re: 03 f-250 #17 fuse keeps blowing

Had the same trouble almost with my 04. The wires going to the dome lights were shorting out some where. On the left side you should beable to pull off the kick pannel and unplug the wires going rearward. Than try another fuse. If the fuse blows again than you'll know it's forward and not towards the back or the dome/maps lights. It's a real pain in the butt to find shorts. I never did find mine, after moving the wires trying to see where the short was it went away, I'm sure it will return at the worst possible time.
