04 F-150 starter issue

My 04 F-150 doesn't start after it has been warmed up. If I turn it off after driving a short distance, it will not turn over. All cabin electrical seems to work fine (radio, dome, dash indicators, etc) but no ignition. No clicking.

It cranks up fine first thing in morning or after it has sat for several hours.

Does this indicate a bad solenoid?

The solenoid is starter mounted - so that can get expensive. Have the battery checked out first - or, if the original, it's time for a new one. My '06 F350 is on it's third - and this one is NOT a Ford battery
