05 F-250 Diesel

Hello everyone, hopefully getting my truck back tomorrow, been out of commission for about 2 months now lol, started blowing white smoke and stopped driving it for obvious reasons. We believe its just the egr gone bad and pouring antifreeze out causing it to smoke (hopefully)! I bought an EGR delete kit, and a new oil cooler for it. We are going to do a flush while we are doing it, what kind of antifreeze do you recommend putting in it?

Also I got a letter from Ford last week about the "Death Shake", does anyone know how to actually fix that? My truck is lifted 3", it does appear that the drag link is going out, Would that cause this to happen as well? Thanks for the help!

Re: 05 F-250 Diesel

It'd be good to contact your dealer to get more information on this death shake.

I run Prestone 50/50 in all my vehicles (2006 Sprinter diesel as well as those listed in my sig) with no problems in over a decade of using it. I change it every 100K although I can go farther.

If you take the rad cap off, and you see white gunk at the top starting to accumulate around the edge you know it's time for a coolant flush.
