Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Do not remove the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition switch at the same time or damage to the column can result.

- Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) .
- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove the lower steering column shroud screw.
- Apply inward pressure to the upper and lower steering column shroud cover seam to separate them and remove the lower shroud.
- Remove the 2 screws and the upper steering column shroud.

- Remove the screw, release the tab and position the multifunction switch aside.

- Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
- Release the 2 locking tabs and remove the ignition switch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
