How do I get to it and replace it. Tearing into the colum and just cant find the darn thing for some odd reason. Where is it at in there? Ive looked all up and down from the key cyl down.
CAUTION: Do not remove the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition switch at the same time or damage to the column can result.
1- Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) .
2- Remove the steering wheel.
3- Remove the lower steering column shroud screw.
4- Apply inward pressure to the upper and lower steering column shroud cover seam to separate them and remove the lower shroud.
5- Remove the 2 screws and the upper steering column shroud.
6- Remove the screw, release the tab and position the multifunction switch aside.
7- Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
8- Release the 2 locking tabs and remove the ignition switch.
9- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
