'83f3fiddy Registered User Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: naples Age: 23 Posts: 38	1983 f-350 dies when... my 1983 ford f-350 wit ha 351W and the OE C6 trans dies when i put it into R, D, 2, or 1. my idle has NO affect of this as i have it set at 850-900RPM. when it put into gear the truck kinda lurches forward or backward. im thinking my torque converter is lock up and not letting it idle...any help with this?
