h2gofast

An old work truck that literally smoked the solenoid. The press on elbow that attaches to the S terminal on the solenoid got pretty hot before the solenoid went. Some of the rubber is melted. I replaced the solenoid and brain box. When I turn the key I get nothing. No lights, no heater fan, not even a click. I arced the positive battery cable over the solenoid and the the starter turned just fine, so battery is good and starter is good. Any help with what I should check next would be greatly appreciated.

i would say clip it off and put an eyelit(sp?) on it and find a nut or somthing to put over it and try it then...

check wiring harness behind both head lite bezels.check ignition switch fusable link. check that the ignition line to the solinoid isnt burnt upstream.sounds like the ignition swith isnt kicking in the solinoid.
