Hi all-

I am new to this forum as I just signed up about a minute ago.

I have a 1992 Ford F-250 w/5.8L.

It has no power at all. My brother and I gave it a tune up which included new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil filter and an oil change. Added Lucas oil stabilizer too just to be safe.


No of this fixed the problem! I am at a loss.

Clogged CAT? out of timing? Clogged fuel filter? NO pressure on the fuel pump?

I have not done a compression test.

In P (park) the engine will rev up like normal. When in D(drive the truck will just barely move. I am talking like 1 inch.

Any help or point in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

i had the same problem

could be that your oil pump i9n the tranny is shot, fluid level is low and is not creating the pressure need to make it shift in and out of gears, or that the kick down cable is not properlt adjusted
