I want to know how rare it is, i heard from someone only 4% of the trucks in that year had the 5.8l engine that werent lightnings. whats the difference between this engine and the lightning, why is it so hard to find parts for it?
so how many trucks were made with that engine in 1993. it is an ext cab, loaded with leather, power windows, power locks, key code ignition. and has edelbrock heads, intake manifold, huge injectors, and thats all i could find pulling the engine apart since im replacing the head gaskets in it.

sorry for the double but if this helps there is a harley davidson embelm on it. but i thought they didnt start making trucks til like 2000 or 2001.? im clueless

lightning trucks. the 5.8 is a very common engine. The lightning was only avalable, as you can see, for 3 years. I'd say only 4 percent of the trucks were lightnings. Not the other way round.

but this truck is not a lightning. it is a extended cab lightnings were reg cab. so how common was the 5.8l in a regular f150?

According to Autozone, the 5.8 FI, vin code H is found in 11% of 1993 F150's.

Vin code R, 5.8 EFI is found in 4% of 1993 F150's

so thats pretty uncommon now. because that was in 93, its 2009 now lol. i wonder how manyare still on the road?
