confused 1993 ford f150 rear end?

hey everyone i got a ? about my rear end on my ford f150 1993 4x4.... i noticed that my passenger side rear tire is the only one spinning, its liek there is nothing getting to the drivers side rear, is there a problem with the rear end? or is that how they all are? and can i do anything to get both tires to work the same thanks! bret..

There is no problem with your rear end. My 1994 F150 does the same thing, it is because the trucks are not equiped with Positraction (limited slip). So that is the only side spinnging. The only way i think you could make both spin is to install a limited slip.

same thing.. when the rear end breaks loose only one side is spining so the torque from that wheel send the truck that way... LOL physics class and knowledge of cars/trucks really pay off.

Just because one wheel is spinning doesnt mean its not 4x4.. 4x4 just locks the front end to the back.. u really only have 2 wheels wih traction.. both all 4 wheels (or 2) will pull the truck WHEN its moving, but as soon as you get slipage, all the power is pushed to one (or two) wheels depending if your in 4x4 or not. One way you could fix that is by installing a limited slip diferential. Probably a costly upgrade but ay be worth it. You know its awesome in the snow or sticky situations, your truck.
