Came home on Sunday and noticed the tail lights and headlights on my truck. Thought I had left the lights on, but the switch was off. Tried cycling the switch, started the truck, switched off lights still on. If I turn on the switch with the key in or door open, I get the ding ding reminder. Had to disconnect the battery to turn off the lights. I think we had an electrical storm while gone, several items in the house, dsl filter, and dvr recorder were also inop. Anyone have ideas where I can start looking, my haynes manual doesn't show any detail on relays or locations.

Sounds like it could be a bad switch. On the 2002, is the headlight switch on the dash or on the steering column?

Its on the dash, I removed the switch, unplugged the wires and the lights still came on when I reconnected the battery. I am at a loss.
