7.3L diesel. turn key and dash lights up like xmas tree. all lights blinking, radio display blinking, dome lights blinking. gauges going crazy. turn key to on and just gets clicking.
seems like I have power, checked fuse panel, replaced starter......

Have you tried to jump start it? How about the battery conections?

Most likely either bad battery or bad connection. (or both)

Sounds like starter solenoid clicking away due to low / flat battery . As suggested , try a jump start . If starts o.k , get battery tested / charged . When started , put meter on and test alternator out put just to be safe , two min test .

i did clean and inspect battery terminals. I will jump tonight and see what happens.
Will flat battery have anything to do with the gauges going haywire? I turn the key to star the glow plugs and everything starts to blink on and off even before I turn all the way to attempt to start.
